Adult Learning and Activities
Our Adult Learning and Activities programme opens the door to building your skills, growing in confidence and connecting with others in your community and beyond.
Neo Community offers practical, hands-on sessions designed to make everyday life easier and more fulfilling. These include cooking and nutrition workshops (such as our well attended Cooking Up Change course), budgeting for life, community organising and leadership, creative crafts, wellbeing activities such as gentle yoga, confidence and communication skills, digital basics, and short community-action projects like starting a Lunch Club.
Our Adult Learning and Activities programme is open to adults (19+) across Wirral, including those who are returning to learning, carers, parents, volunteers, people on low incomes, and anyone who wants to learn something new in a supportive setting. Our groups are small, SEND-friendly, and always welcoming to beginners.
Sessions run as structured 6-8 week courses, one-off tasters and drop-ins, and are primarily conducted in person, with additional resources shared online where helpful. Most sessions are free or subsidised thanks to our funders and partners, with small fees kept as low as possible.
Participants tell us they leave with practical skills, new friendships, greater confidence and motivation, and a sense of belonging. Some go on to further learning, volunteering or even leading their own community activities.
