School Partnerships

Our School Partnerships programme helps strengthen families by supporting the communities wrapped around them.

We work directly within primary schools and early years settings to make sure children and families can access food, connection and support in a place they already trust.

At the heart of this work are on-site Social Supermarkets, run in partnership with each school. These spaces reduce food waste, ease financial pressure and create a calm, dignified environment where parents and carers can pick up essentials without judgement. Staff also benefit from having a reliable partner who understands their community and can respond quickly when a family needs a little extra help.

Each partnership is long-term and built on shared commitment. We currently work closely with Woodlands Primary, Bedford Drive Primary, Mersey Park Primary, Rock Ferry Primary, Christ Church School, Sandycroft Primary, St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, and Ganneys Meadow Nursery School & Family Centre. We also have affiliative partnerships with Eastway Primary and Well Lane Primary.

The support available varies between schools, but most host a regular Social Supermarket on-site at times that suit their families. Some schools also run additional engagement activities, workshops or opportunities to connect with the wider Neo Community offer.

All services run on a Pay-As-You-Feel basis. Families contribute what they can, and those who can’t contribute are still welcomed with the same warmth and respect.

When and where

  • Delivery times vary between schools
  • On-site Social Supermarkets run within partner schools
  • Access is through each school’s existing communication channels
  • No referral needed

Get involved

Families can attend their school’s Social Supermarket directly. Volunteers are always appreciated and can support sessions, help with food collections or get involved in community engagement activities.

If you’re part of a school interested in partnering with Neo Community, or if you’d like to volunteer or donate, we’d love to hear from you.
