Find Neo across South Wirral

When and where

Activities run across South Wirral in community venues including:

  • New Ferry Rangers Hub
  • Grove Street Primary School
  • Local churches, cafés and community centres

Timetables vary throughout the year – please contact us for current details.

Neo Community’s South Wirral project brings our support, activities and neighbour-to-neighbour connection directly into local streets and spaces. The aim is simple: reduce isolation, strengthen community networks and make sure everyone living in the area feels part of something positive.

South Wirral communities face real challenges, from fewer community spaces and reduced support networks to cost-of-living pressures and limited youth opportunities. By working door-to-door and in local hubs, we listen to what matters most and respond with practical, people-led activities.

What we do

Neo Community delivers a mix of outreach and community sessions shaped by local voices, including:

  • Door-knocking and listening campaigns
  • Community pop-ups and family outreach
  • Wellbeing, craft and social groups
  • Men and women’s groups
  • Food support
  • Lifelong learning at St Barnabas, New Ferry Rangers Hub and Grove Street Primary School

Neo Community has supported South Wirral for several years, with this dedicated initiative running since 2023. Thanks to a three-year grant from The National Lottery Community Fund, we’ve expanded resident-led groups, supported the New Ferry Hub and co-created new projects such as a community library initiative.

Our work in South Wirral reflects our mission to reduce crisis, build community power and support dignity across Wirral. Residents tell us they feel more connected and confident, with clearer opportunities for families and young people.

Get involved

Over the coming years, we’re aiming to strengthen neighbourhood hubs, grow resident-led activity and support sustainable local groups. Our legacy plans focus on training volunteers, deepening partnerships and securing long-term support.

You can support South Wirral communities by volunteering at sessions, joining listening campaigns, helping run groups, sharing a skill or becoming a Community Champion. Funders, businesses and community partners are also welcome. If you’d like to volunteer or explore partnership opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.
